Manager / Director
Cafe Manager responsibilities include scheduling shifts for baristas and wait staff, monitoring daily expenses and revenues and ordering supplies like coffee, milk and snacks, as needed. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops or the hospitality industry. Also, you should be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our cafe into a favorite local spot.
Responsibilities
Suggesting new menu items based on customers' preferences and feedback.
Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers.
Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences (for example vegan coffee drinks)
Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy
Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe
Recruiting, training, and supervising café staff
Preparing weekly work schedules for staff and finding suitable replacements in cases of staff absence.
Ensuring that all café expenses are within budget and identifying ways to decrease operational costs.
Receiving delivered café supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
Taking inventory of café supplies and coordinating with vendors & ordering new stock as needed.
Resolving customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service.
Requirements

Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays)
Work experience as a Cafe Manager or Barista or hospitality service
Knowledge of food health and safety regulations
Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
