This is also an invitation to experience the magic of San Miguel de Allende, the most artistic city in Mexico, recently named by Conde Nast “2018 Best City in the World” for the second year running. It is a beautiful place to enjoy all varieties of the arts, to walk romantic stone walkways and cobblestoned streets, to explore the history and culture of old Mexico, and to savor fine international dining and local Mexican favorites.

We will help you bundle the package, and figure pricing, and offer it to your guests based on their room choice at Casa de la Noche while they attend your workshop.

OUR WORKSHOP is held in Casa Contenta -

a traditional country-style villa in San Miguel de Allende perfect for you and your group.

Participants choose their own room, first come, first served.

You may share a room with another artist for an additional fee or invite a non-painting spouse or friend to share your room at no additional fee, or treat yourself to a room to yourself!. Cost is dependent upon room choice. Our Casa has its own sunlit project room on the third floor, several patios and outdoor sitting areas, guest kitchen, superb location, and original art throughout the property. HOW TO GET HERE

San Miguel de Allende is in the heart of Mexico at 6200 ft. elevation. The closest airports are Leon (BJX) or Queretero (QRO) and shuttles or private transportation can be arranged to meet and drive you to Casa Contenta, a 75-minute drive. You can also fly into Mexico City, a 3 1/2 or 4-hour bus or shuttle ride.

You will need a current Passport and a Visa (available at the airport upon arrival). Consider travel insurance in case your plans change. Some credit cards offer this as part of their perks! Check yours!

The ATMs in San Miguel accept VISA DEBIT cards for access to Mexican pesos.

Casa Contenta is a spacious seven bedroom, seven and a half bathroom home, tastefully decorated in Mexican style. It can accommodate up to 15 guests, which makes it perfect for groups, family reunions and traveling workshops. Our full-house guests have access to two fully equipped kitchens, two living rooms, several patios, and outdoor sitting areas with garden and rooftop views. All rooms have television, wi-fi and state of the art purified water throughout. A sunlit project room with a half-bathroom on the third floor is ideal for all kinds of activities. Ample street parking is available. Healthy start-home-cooked Mexican breakfasts are included with your lodging.

JAMIACA Already reserved!

The Jamaica Room is a ground level bedroom close to the entry door. It's private bath features hand-painted Talavera tile. It has windows facing Vergel street. Two twin beds may be set up as a king size bed. The room has two chairs and an armoire for clothing storage. All rooms feature TV and wi-fi and access to the shared 2nd floor kitchen.

LA ROSA $XXXXX Available now!

La Rosa Bedroom and private bath are located on the ground level close to the entry. It has a window facing Vergel street and a wall of windows facing a small garden, ample closet, TV and wi-fi. Two twin beds may be set up as a king size bed. It has hand-painted Talavera tiles in the bathroom, and original art by Ruben Morales.

GIRASOL $XXXX Available now!

Girasol is a ground level bedroom suite. It features a queen bed with a view of its private patio with a fountain, TV and wi-fi. Its' cozy, private bathroom has a shower over the tub, and hand-painted tiles. The separate entry room has a table, two chairs, coffee maker, microwave and sink and desk area. Guests of this room also have access to the common kitchen, terraces and dining room.

BUGAMBILIA $XXXX Available now!

Bugambilia is located on the second floor with entry through a downstairs common dining room. At the top of the stairs there is a sitting room with a daybed for a third guest. The Bugambilia accommodates 2 guests. It has 2 twin beds which can be made into a king-size bed. Its private bath has hand painted tiles and a view into the gardens, TV and wi-fi. This room may be rented with the Tulipan room for a larger group (up to 5) with a connecting entrance through the sitting area.

MARGARITA $XXXX Available now!

The Margarita room is a light-filled second floor bedroom with a private bath. Two twin beds may be made into a king size bed upon request. Doors open onto a shared terrace across from a community kitchen and living room; large sliding glass doors overlook the garden and majestic jacaranda tree. There is a dresser, chair and a hanging area for clothing, flat screen TV and wi-fi. This room has easy access to terraces, the kitchen and the living room shared by all guests.

Tulipan is a second level bedroom with two twin beds that can be made into a king size bed. It has a private bathroom. The entry is from a large shared terrace area. The room has a closet, dresser, chair, and colorful accommodations, TV and wi-fi. The bathroom has hand-painted tiles. This room can also be made into a suite when rented in conjunction with Bugambilia Room for groups of 4 to 5 people.

Violeta is a second floor bedroom with a private bath. Two twin beds can be made into a king size bed. Two chairs, an antique dresser and a closet, TV and wi-fi complete this room. The entry door faces the common terrace, and the window view faces onto Vergel street with abundant bougainvillea blossoms. This room has access to a kitchen, living room area and terraces that may be shared by all guests.
